I'll be trying this with an X1 Carbon Gen 8 (i5-10210U) once it arrives. I'm disappointed that I had to go with a laptop with a U-series CPU but I recently read about Intel's "TDP up" spec with U series CPUs: 15W may be the "default" TDP, but computer OEMs can choose to "overclock" to ~25-30W if they use an adequate cooling solution.

Even if overclocking isn't practical on the X1C8, at least I can try to undervolt a little bit.
